Like all of its rivals on the PC market, Micro-Star International always has something in its labs just waiting for the right moment to come out and end up in the homes or offices of end-users. As it happens, some of those devices actually spend a lot of time in said labs before being released. This is the case with the P600 business-oriented mobile computer. Having been officially announced as far back as March, the machine has only now started to show up in stores located on North American soil.

The product is fairly decent in terms of performance, though it can't exactly be seen as overly high-end. At its core lies and Intel Core i5-450M central processing unit, whose frequency is of 2.4 GHz. This CPU is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and, of course, has its own Integrated graphics circuits, which makes the addition of a discrete graphics card unnecessary. MSI even decided not to add one as an options, since business PCs don't really have an overly pressing need for advanced video capabilities.

The rest of the spec sheet includes all the obligatory, and some non-essential but useful, components. A hard drive provides 500 GB of storage space, while a DVD writer handles all compatible optically-stored media, even DVD movie playback. Furthermore, Micro-Star International added a 3-in-1 card reader, as well as Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. Finally, to complete the multimedia experience, the company brought SRS Premium Sound to the equation and shoved in an 8-cell battery, for as long a battery life as possible. Unfortunately, the exact duration that it can last for is uncertain.

Newegg has already put up a listing of the portable computer here. It is pre-loaded with the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and boasts a glossy LCD with a screen size of 15.6 inches and a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels.
