MSI markets the tablet as a 3-in-1 for some reason

MSI might be mostly known for its high-end gaming or business solutions, but the company is also in the habit of making tablets.

And today the device manufacturer has taken the opportunity to unveil a 3-in-1 tablet design which comes with a keyboard and a protective cover.

The MSI S100 tablet arrives with a 10-inch IPS display that offers an unimpressive 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

The S100 is pretty standard and MSI makes use of an Intel Atom Bay Trail-T quad-core processor under the hood to pump life into the product. Everything onboard works with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

There are also two 2MP cameras if you feel like using the tablet for photography and also an HDMI port, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.

I’m not sure why MSI claims this is a 3-in-1 device, since except using the tablet in laptop mode thanks to the keyboard accessory, there’s no extra mode.

The slate is not all that impressive considering today’s standards, but since MSI doesn't mention for how much the device will be sold, I can’t really say whether it is a good deal or not.

Nor are we told if the two accessories are going to be included in the bundle or users will have to pay extra for them.
