MSI unveiled a variety of devices at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show. One of the more notable PCs demonstrated is known as the X-Slim X620, an ultra-thin laptop powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a graphics card with 1GB VRAM. The product is described by Notebook Marketing Director Sam Chern as the latest masterpiece in MSI's X-Slim Series.

Chern dubs it as such because of its elegant case and noteworthy performance. The X620 has a unique frame design with “MSI's exclusive textured patterning with color film print coating” and elegant silver borders. The product measures 39.2 x 25.5 x 3.63 cm, weighs 2.41kg and won the 2010 German iF product design award.

The exterior of the device is only half of what makes it appealing. The X-Slim X620 is powered by the Pentium SU4100 or Core 2 Duo SU7300 central processing unit (CPU) and has exquisite graphics capabilities provided by the Mobility Radeon HD 5430 with 1GB of VRAM. In addition, the configuration includes 4GB of DDRIII 1066/800 MHz, a DVD writer and a hard drive with a storage capacity of 250GB, 320GB or even 500GB.

The MSI X-Slim X620 is designed with a 15.6-inch display whose maximum resolution is of 1355 x 768 pixels. The laptop also boasts SRS Premium Sound, a 2-in-1 card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, HDMI and D-sub connectors, as well as two USB 2.0 ports, e-SATA (USB Combo), Mic-in, Headphone out, RJ-45 and a Kensington lock port.

A special feature of this device from MSI is the Exclusive 3D Boost Technology. This achieves the full balance between audiovisual experiences and battery life. By pressing the 3D boost button, the laptop automatically enters high-performance mode and the Battery button switches back to the integrated display mode in order to save power. This enables the notebook to run for up to 11 hours on a single charge of its eight-cell battery.

The Windows 7 Home Premium-equipped laptop has not been given a price as of yet.
