MSI is mostly famous for its gaming notebook, but the company is dead-set in trying to make a name for itself in the tablet market as well. So the company has just unveiled the Primo 81 Android tablet.

The slate features a pearl-white look with a metal unibody back, distinguishing itself from your average tablet offerings in the mid-range sector.

Primo 81 features an IPS LCD 7.85-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Under the hood, MSI has slipped an ARM Allwinner A31S quad-core processor, coupled with 1GB RAM plus PowerVR SGX544MP2 dual-core graphics. Internal storage has been set at 16GB, and a micro USB slot and HDMI out are also present.

The Primo 81 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. MSI claims that the device is extremely light, weighting no more than 330 g / 0.72 lbs.

The slate will arrive on retail shelves somewhere in November and no price specifications have been given yet.
