14 DAY TRIAL // After releasing BIOS 2.4 for X79A-GD45, MSI has just outed several BIOS packages targeted at some of its Intel-based boards, which update microcodes and modules and improve the devices’ stability.
Specifically speaking, MSI has made available BIOS version 1.5, 1.4, 1.2, 6.2, and 2.3, compatible with its Z87-G45 Gaming, Z87-G41 PC Mate, H81M-P33, H81M-E33, and B85-G41 PC Mate, respectively.
As for changes, the boards have slightly different changelogs that you can view through the download page of each board.
However, I can highlight that each BIOS package will update the CPU microcode and the GOP driver (to version 5.0.1035), and will improve the devices’ memory compatibility. Moreover, the USB, MFLASH, and MSI Multi-Language modules will also be upgraded.
Bear in mind that, if you consider updating, you must download and execute the file from a USB drive only. In addition to that, while the installation is in progress, make sure you don’t remove the USB drive from the system, shut down or restart the computer, or interfere with the process in any way.
