Serves gamers at a somewhat lower price than that of the other cases unveiled recently

Micro-Star International has completed the development of a new addition to the Interceptor series of PC cases, bearing the name of Raptor.

The new desktop enclosure that MSI created is a mid-tower model with support for ATX motherboards and platforms of smaller form factors.

As a member of the Interceptor line, it is meant to function as living quarters for high-end machines.

Nevertheless, the Raptor, as it is called, goes without some of the embellishments and secondary advantages that other models of its type exhibit.

That way, it got a smaller price tag that rivals like the Xilence Black Hornet, Antec's Gaming Series Three Hundred Two and the Cougar Evolution BO.

More precisely, MSI strapped a price of $59.99 on the newcomer, which is about the same as 45.74 Euro, based on exchange rates.

The mid-tower possesses an advanced thermal/air-flow design, with one 120 mm blue LED intake fan installed on the front and a similar, though LED-less, spinner at the back, for exhaust.

Also, it comes with four 5.25-inch drive bays, one of which is already filled by a multi-card reader (a unique asset for this price point).

Furthermore, the company built in six 3.5-inch bays, for hard drive units (HDD), and applied a tool-free design as well.

As for I/O, the front panel has the obligatory audio ports (in/out) and a pair of SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports.

For those who are familiar with the Nighthawk (the so-called predecessor), the “Military Class” moniker applies to the Raptor as well.

This means that the thermal/air-flow design is top notch (or close enough to that level) and involves more than the two aforementioned fans.

Finally, MSI sells (or will sell) the SECC/steel and ABS plastic-wrought newcomer with a 3-year warranty and with an all-black paint coating. Go to this review for all the available info.
