They aren't based on the HD 7970 GHz Edition and haven't been priced

There are two new graphics cards bearing MSI's brand out and about, though they haven't been given prices yet, and they might not show up online for sale for a day or two.

Still, MSI made it a point of informing the world, or rather TechPowerUp did, about them, these "HD 7970 Boost Edition" adapters called R7970 TF 3GD5 BE and R7970 TF 3GD5 BE/OC.

The former works at 925 / 975 MHz (GPU speed base/boost) and 5.5 GHz for the 3 GB GDDR5 VRAM.

The other adapter runs at 1,000 / 1,050 MHz and, again, 5.5 GHz.

Custom PCBs hold the Twin Frozr III coolers (two 80 mm fans, heatpipes, aluminum fins) and multiple video ports (dual-link DVI, an HDMI 1.4a, two mini-DisplayPort 1.2). The TDPs are of 253W (6-pin + 8-pin inputs).
