MSI is mostly known for its powerful gaming offerings

Once upon a time, when the tablet market wasn't so crowded as it is today, MSI had big plans when it came to slates and enthusiastically showed a lot of prototypes hoping the glory will come.

Sadly, that didn't happen. Nevertheless, the company whose name is built on its high-performance, customizable gaming solutions still hasn't given up the habit of launching a tablet now and then.

The slate boasts 3G capabilities and has been listed in Taiwan, as part of Chunghwa Telecom’s line-up (via Senao). So, the model will apparently sell only in the country.

The tablet has a 7-inch IPS display with 5-point multitouch and draws power form a 1.3 GHz MediaTek 8312 dual-core processor, combined with 1GB of RAM and backed up by 16GB of storage.

Other drawing points of the Primo 77 are the Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 3G Internet capabilities (with the ability to place phone calls). We’re not given any information about the slate’s resolution, but it’s probably a low one (1280 x 800 pixels might be a good bet).

A decent 3100 mAh battery is keeping the Primo 77 alive and running, while the default operating system onboard is Android 4.2. Being pretty much a low-range slate, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the Primo 77 sells for $170 / €123.
