MSI has recently added a new model to its mobile machine lineup, the PR621 notebook, which is intended mainly for the business class, and in which the company packed a lot of features, such as a 15.4-inch display and a resolution of 1280 x 800. The machine is powered by the Intel Centrino2 with vPro Technology working on an Intel GM 45+ICH9M-E chipset and can support up to 4GB of memory. MSI PR621 features two audio speakers, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, Bluetooth, wireless LAN and fingerprint reader. The notebook also packs a good number of security features, such as an out-of-band (OOB) communication channel that is used for software remediation without interrupting the system use. There is hardware-based anti-virus protection included, the Execute Disable Bit, along with proactive protection that blocks off incoming threats before they can reach the OS. For more efficiency, a watchdog timer was added to check the running applications at regular intervals.
