Micro-Star International have officially unveiled their P7N Diamond and P7N SLI Platinum motherboards that support the 45nm Intel processor architecture. The P7N Diamond is built around the nForce780i chipset that supports 3-way SLI technology, while the P7N SLI Platinum features an nForce750i chipset. "P7N series motherboards are the best SLI gaming choice for Intel 45nm processor, providing the ultimate gaming experience based on both processors & graphics side", said Vincent Lai, MSI worldwide marketing director.

Both motherboards are built with extremely reliable components, such as the Japanese solid aluminum capacitors, to prevent them from leaking in case of power variations. POSC (Polymerized Organic Semiconductor Capacitor) is a state-of-the-art technology developed by Sanyo and has improved ripple current and dissipation factor parameters even when compared to the Tantalum capacitor design.

Although the motherboards address different markets, they feature MSI's exclusive Circu-pipe design that effectively dissipates the heat from the chipset and MOSFET. This unique design boosts the overall performance and product life, especially when overclocking the CPU and memory.

The P7N processor power supply has been completely redesigned and is based on four phases PWM IC, which improves the power quality and minimizes the power conversion. The power supply becomes more stable and gains four times the classic performance. Extreme overclocking will spare the user the hassle of adding extra cooling on the motherboard or on the computer case.

The greatest achievements in the P7N series are the support for Intel's new generation Penryn processors as well as the 3-way SLI ready technology. The 45nm Quad Core CPU boosts the computing performance when it comes to multimedia, multitasking and gaming, and reduces the waiting time for all the applications users would ever need to run. All these qualify the MSI P7N series for professional use, such as high definition audio/video stream editing, hardcore 3D gaming and graphic rendering.
