Although the number of rumors about NVIDIA's next-generation line of desktop graphics cards is increasing every day, graphics card makers continue to release new versions of the chip maker's current line of GT200 cards. On that note, MSI, one of the world's leading vendors of high-end desktop graphics cards and other hardware components, has just announced the introduction of a new GeForce GTX 260, designed to provide users with the performance of one of NVIDIA's most successful cards in the current lineup. The Limited Edition 'Batman' graphics card provides users with the performance of the well-known GPU, but also with a full-version of the “Batman: Arkham Asylum” gaming title.

The technical specifications of the graphics card are what you’d expect from the GTX 260 model, namely a high-end GPU, coupled with 896MB of 448-bit GDDR3 memory. Boasting a traditional PCI-Express 2.0 interface, the card comes with a standard clock speed of 546MHz, while the memory is set to work at 1998MHz. Featuring a dual-slot cooling solution, the card is available in different configurations, depending on the level of overclocking that the end-user requires.

MSI has designed the new card with military class concept components, such as SSC (Solid State Chokes) and all solid CAPs, thus providing the end-user with an enhanced level of stability and performance. To sweeten the offer, the GTX 260 Batman graphics card is bundled with a full version of the new “Batman: Arkham Asylum” gaming title, developed by Rocksteady Studios. Users who purchase the new card can go to NVIDIA's nZone and download the game for free, taking full advantage of its built-in PhysX features.

According to MSI, the new limited edition card will be available in Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and some SEA countries, within a limit of 1,600 units that will be made available.
