AMD's Fusion chips got more than a decent amount of media exposure since they were first announced at the beginning of January as a wide series of manufacturers have launched all sort of products based on the new APUs, MSI just adding to the list the AE2050 All-in-One PC which is built on top of an E-350 chip.

The system was showcased for the first time during CES 2011, and looks strikingly similar to most other Wind Top AIOs that MSI has in its line-up, except for the Zacate chip which powers the unit.

Clocked at 1.6GHz, the E-350 APU is based on dual out-of-order x86 Bulldozer cores, built on a 40nm process technology, with a total of 1MB of L2 cache (512KB per core), and a DX11-capable GPU on the same die.

The integrated graphics processing unit is called the Radeon HD 6310 and packs 80 stream processors, 8 texturing units and 4 ROP units.

AMD has clocked the HD 6310 at 500MHz and paired it with the company's new UVD3 media decoding engine which is capable of handling 1080p Blu-ray content decoding, as well as various other video formats, without any hiccups.

In addition to AMD's new APU, the AE2050 features two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, a pair of audio jacks, built-in Ethernet, an HDMI port, a multi-format memory card reader and an optical drive.

Storage is provided by a 500GB hard disk drive and the rest of the hardware specifications of the AIO include 2GB of DDR3 memory as well as a 20-inch multi-touch HD+ (1600x900) display.

The AE2050 is shipped together with a 65W power brick, and MSI says the system is about 70% more energy efficient than a traditional desktop PC. A keyboard and mouse are also included in the retail package.

No details regarding pricing or availability were made public at this time.
