It is essentially a Windows 8 tablet with a slide-out keyboard

It was back in April that Intel revealed the “Letexo” sliding ultrabook design, but nothing else was heard from it after that.

We've now learned, thanks to TechPowerUp, that Micro-Star International will introduce such a device at Computex.

This is strange because, last time we heard, MSI wasn't going to make any ultrabooks at all. It looks like the company may be changing its mind.

Intel did say 110 ultrabooks were coming, so MSI may very well have contributed somewhat to that number.

Anyway, the “ultrabook” will really “just” be an Intel-powered Windows 8 tablet with a chiclet keyboard underneath.

Computex 2012 is where the unveiling is set to take place. That's between June 06 and June 09, in Taipei, Taiwan.

We suspect this won't be the only ultrabook in MSI's booth. If the company is going to reconsider its stance, it will probably do it all the way.
