Taipei, Taiwan-based Micro Star International has decided to expand its line of gaming-ready portable computer systems with the introduction of two new models, the GX623 and the GX633, both of which have been equipped with a 15.4-inch LCD monitor. Each system offers a different configuration choice, with the former boasting a mix of Intel and ATI processing power, while the latter combines an AMD processor with one of the latest NVIDIA mobile GPUs.

Starting with the new GX623, gaming enthusiasts will be able to take advantage of some of the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors and ATI's Radeon HD4670 graphics card, featured on Intel's Centrino 2 platform. The notebook is packed with 512MB of DDR3 graphics memory and offers support for up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory. Additionally, it can be equipped with a 500GB SATA hard drive and a 6- or 9-cell battery pack. The system also offers a choice for either a DVD or a Blu-Ray optical drive, as well as a 2MP webcam, 4-in-1 card reader, and wireless 802.11 n-draft connectivity.

The AMD-powered GX633 offers similar features to the GX623, but comes equipped with a Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core mobile processor and NVIDIA's GeForce GT 130M mobile GPU. The system is packed with 512MB of DDR3 graphics memory and, as the GX623, also offers support for a maximum of 4GB of DDR2 system memory. Coming with a copy of Microsoft's Windows Vista Home Premium, the GX633 boasts Gigabit Ethernet support, wireless 802.11 b/g/n connectivity (with optional Bluetooth 2.0+EDR), 4-in-1 card reader, 3 USB ports, a 2MP webcam and a choice for a 3-cell or a 6-cell battery pack.

Designed for gaming enthusiasts, both systems have been equipped with colored W, A, S, D buttons and are featured with a lightweight magnesium alloy casing. Unfortunately, the company hasn't revealed any details regarding pricing and availability.
