Even though it hasn't seen as many custom designs as some of its siblings, the GTX 460 and GTX 450 in particular, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 has just been taken in by MSI and equipped with the Twin Frozr II cooling device, known as N480GTX.

As end-users well know, the GeForce GTX 480 video board is the most powerful DirectX 11-capable video card that NVIDIA has one sale right now.

Another quite well known fact about this card is that it has a high heat generation, which makes custom cooling solutions all the more desirable, especially when in SLI configurations.

As such, Micro-Star International came out and revealed a model equipped with its now infamous Twin Frozr II dual-slot cooler.

This cooler has a noise output that is 4 dBA lower than that of the reference design, and this is in addition to the actual heat dispersing benefits.

According to the announcement, the five heatpipes and two 80mm fans of the Twin Frozr II can drive temperatures about 14 degrees Celsius lower.

For those interested in the performance, the GF100 graphics processing unit (GPU) is clocked at 700 MHz, while the shaders and memory operate at 1,401 MHz and 3,696 MHz, respectively.

The board has a total of 480 CUDA cores, 1,536 MB of GDDR5 VRAM and a memory interface of 384 bits.

What's more the video controller is designed with dual-DVI and HDMI 1.3 a video outputs.

Needless to say, the newcomer has full support for the CUDA technology, PhysX and 3D Vision Surround, not just DirectX 11 graphics.

Not only that, but the Taiwanese company even implemented its Military-class components, which boost stability and endurance.

The list of such components includes Hi-c CAP, Solid State Choke and All-Solid caps.

Unfortunately, the official announcement that MSI issued held no information on the price of the newcomer.
