The holiday shopping season is approaching, which basically translates into an upcoming wave of new products that will be designed to provide users with the latest technologies and features enabled on the market. MSI is certainly one of those vendors, as the Taiwanese company has just announced the introduction of its new gaming portable computer system, in the form of the new GT640 laptop. Designed on the fresh new PM55 chipset, the new portable PC will adopt one of Intel's compatible Core i7
processors to provide users with a high level of performance.
The GT640 isn't much when it comes to the exterior design, as the machine seems to have adopted a design pretty much similar to that of many MSI gaming laptops. However, on the inside, this system has what it takes to provide an ultimate gaming experience, even for users who are always on the road, since it is powered by some of the latest Intel technologies, including the new series of chipsets and Core i7 processors for the mobile space.
As far as technical specifications go, the laptop will be featured with an Intel Core i7 processor, a 15.4-inch LCD screen and a GeForce GTS 250M graphics card, for all those gaming and visual enthusiasts. Additionally, the laptop can be featured with up to 4GB of DDR3 memory and a large-capacity 500GB hard disk drive. The machine packs two HD speakers, a 2.0MP webcam, modem, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 a/b/g/n and optional Bluetooth connectivity, 4-in-1 card reader and a SuperMulti or Blu-ray optical drive.
Packed with a 6-cell battery, the GT640 is expected to become available soon, roughly around the time the holiday seasons kicks in. Unfortunately, the Taiwanese company hasn't announced any official details on its new GT640 gaming laptop, so there's no way of telling at what price it will be made available on the market.
