With NVIDIA GTX 285M graphics and up to 12GB RAM

Not so long ago, MSI revealed the fact that its CeBIT 2010 exhibition would feature, among other things, the top-tier gaming notebook PC known as the MSI GT660. This laptop was described as the king of gaming notebooks and combined a new look with powerful hardware and world-class sound. Now, the expo is all set to start but just a couple of hours before the actual opening, we managed to get close enough to the mobile powerhouse and take a few pictures.

As was previously suggested by the company, the product is in no way discrete, being fully capable of turning heads both through its performance, as well as its aesthetics. The Intel H55 chipset acts as the basis of the configuration and the GT660 has a high-end Intel Core i7-720QM quad-core CPU at its center. This central processing unit is paired with not one or two, but three DDR3 SO-DIMMs, which can support memory slots of up to 4GB and frequencies of 1066/1333MHz. As such, the notebook itself can come with up to 12GB of memory. The mobile PC also has dual hard drive support, 16+ HD, HD+, Dynaudio Premium Sound and the Color Shine LED technology, for added immersion.

No doubt these specifications are already quite eye-catching but an even more interesting feat is the implementation of the NVIDIA GTX 285M. This graphics solution comes with 1GB of GDDR3 memory and will enable seamless performance for any games. This experience is completed by the aforementioned Dynaudio sound, coupled with DTS Surround sound. Lastly, as an added bonus, the new laptop from MSI will no doubt appeal to even those consumers interested in high-speed storage, thanks to its integration of the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard.

All these performance capabilities are packed inside a sleek, glossy black color film print casing. Unfortunately, the pricing and availability of the MSI GT660 gaming powerhouse are still unknown, although they should be made public in the coming days.
