MSI, one of the world's leading vendors of personal computers, hardware components and computing products, recently started shipping its new CR620 laptop, which it announced early this month. Part of the outfit's Classic series, the new laptop has been featured with some of the latest hardware solutions on the market, mixed inside a 15.6-inch chassis ready for mainstream computing. The portable system is now shipping in the US and is available in three configurations.

The CR620 has been designed for mainstream computing, making use of the latest Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors with integrated graphics. The machine provides consumers with a 15.6-inch display featuring a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, combined with 4GB of RAM and the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. In addition, all available configurations featuring the CR620 design will feature a 1.3MP webcam, a 4-in-1 media card reader, an ExpressCard slot, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi and a 6-cell battery pack, all within the standard package.

Customers in the US will be able to choose from three available configurations that come with slightly different hardware options. The available laptops include the CR620-030, the CR620-033 and the CR620-031. The first will be featured with an Intel Core i3-330M processor, clocked at 2.13GHz and a DVD writer. The second configuration will be featured with the same processor, but will add a Blu-ray combo drive, instead of the DVD writer. The third model adds a Core i5 540M processor to the offering, which comes with a core speed of 2.53GHz and is featured with a DVD drive.

The Core i3-equipped machines will be available with a 320GB hard drive, while the Core i5-based model boosts the storage capacity to 500GB. As far as pricing goes, the first will go for US$650, while the other two models will be available for US$730 and US$750, respectively. Two of them have been listed on Newegg.
