Micro-Star International was the first hardware maker that released a motherboard equipped with LucidLogix' Hydra 200 SoC, and it seems that the company is ready to offer a new such product, namely a modified version of the 870A Fuzion, dubbed 870A Fuzion Power Edition.

MSI did not exactly issue a press release or made any official statements, but a leak did surface, stating that the new model will debut sooner rather than later.

As one would expect, the 870A Fuzion Power Edition. is packed with a suitable array of performance capabilities.

For one, it supports AM3 central processing units (CPUs) from Advanced Micro Devices, as it is based on the AMD 770 and SB850 chips.

The board also comes with the infamous Military Class Components that give the board the stability needed to make good use of the collection of overclocking features MSI decided to throw in.

The list of enthusiast-friendly features includes Power, Reset and Clear CMOS button, as well as the OC Genie technology.

The 870A Fuzion Power Edition has four DDR3 memory slots, a 12-phase power design, six SATA 6.0 Gbps ports (natively supported) and a pair of PCI Express x16 slots which can cope with any sort of Multi-GPU configurations.

What this means is that, in addition to SLI and CrossFireX, users can also enjoy AMD+NVIDIA combinations, regardless of model, thanks to the Hydra 200 SoC from LucidLogix.

Other specifications include USB 3.0 connectivity, 7.1 channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 2.0 ports and FireWire.

Though the product's creator itself has not spoken up, the leak states that the official introduction should come soon, at a price slightly higher than that of the 870A Fuzion, namely 169 Euro (roughly $217). The Hydra System-on-Chip and the Renesas USB 3.0 host controller will likely account for most of the price premium.
