Music addicts out there who like to swim have now the chance to listen to their favorite music underwater with the only condition to get the latest item in the waterproof electronics industry. This time, is Oregon Scientific MP120 fully waterproof MP3 player.

What's interesting about this device is its capability of functioning underwater, at a maximum depth of about 1 meter. What sucks is the amount of time it does that, reduced to a shameful 30 minutes. But hey, you have to admit it's cool, since your heart won't let you submerge your precious iPod underwater. Unless you get one of these. By "these" I mean the H2O iPod Underwater Housing, which was specially designed to keep the most important components of your electronics away from the water. This time, the design line is not bad either.

As for the water resistant player, the MP120 MP3 is said to combine both waterproof and shockproof efficient design with a new impressive list of rather advanced features. Among other stuff, the technical list mentions an internal storage capacity of about 128MB, an integrated FM radio and more. It gets juiced up by a single rechargeable battery and uses USB 2.0 as the file transfer interface.

Still, beside being used as an underwater music tool, the player can also be taken to the gym, where you can always both listen to music and perform daily exercise routine. However, the manufacturer recommends resurfacing every 30 minutes in order to equalize the pressure of the player, that's if it is kept fully submerged. But, if you only swim laps, it shouldn't affect the playback.

Wondering about the price tag? Well, the Oregon Scientiofic MP 120 Waterproof MP3 player retails online for about 88.95 bucks a piece, while the specially designed iPod underwater casing is about 59.95 bucks.
