The companion is available for download via Google Play

Initially launched on Motorola’s MOTOACTV Android fitness device, the MOTOACTV companion application has just received a major software update.

According to Motorola, the latest version of the application introduces support for all Android devices, along with several new features.

With the new iteration of MOTOACTV, users will be able to plan workouts on their Android smartphones and launch them from their MOTOACTV device, in order to see their workout data back on their phones.

A new feature that allows them to set up Wi-Fi networks for the MOTOACTV device using an Android smartphone has been added as well.

Last but not least, there’s a new option that provides customers with the possibility to track progress of their personal fitness goals on their phones.

MOTOACTV application is now available as a free download through Google Play store and it should be compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
