Popular on-demand music listening service MOG announced officially at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that it would have its award-winning mobile music application pre-loaded on some 4G-capable smartphones on Verizon Wireless' LTE (Long Term Evolution) network.

The MOG app will offer users the possibility to search, browse and play unlimited music on demand, while having access to a catalog that includes over 10 million songs, and over 1 million albums.

The app will be available for all those who will choose a new 4G smartphone on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network, the company announced.

With the new application, Verizon's customers would enjoy a series of features like:

- One-click, high-speed playlist download: Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers can explore and download MOG community-, editorial- and artist-based playlists at unprecedented speeds. - High-quality audio: Leveraging the speed of the LTE network, all songs are downloaded and streamed at 320 kbps MP3 for maximum audio quality. - High-definition album art: MOG will expose high-definition album art for customers who stream and download MOG tracks over the LTE network. - Unlimited downloads: Subscribers can quickly download any song, album or playlist directly to their phones and continue listening even when out of cell or Wi-Fi range. - On-demand streaming: Unlimited listening to any artist, album or song at any time. - MOG Radio: Only MOG offers the patent-pending “MOG Mobius” music discovery engine that enables users to control the mix of similar artists, from true “artist only” radio up to a full mix of similar artists.

Those Verizon Wireless customers interested in benefiting from the features that the MOG app and service would offer to them should know that access to the music catalog is available for $9.99 per month.

Those who will subscribe to this service would be able to enjoy the possibility to download any song, album or playlist straight to the mobile phones in their hands.

According to the company, the MOG application will come preloaded on select smartphones, and would be available via the Verizon Wireless mobile storefront, V CAST Apps (which provides users with the possibility to have their app purchases billed on their monthly bill).

“The additional speed and bandwidth that Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network provides will make for an enhanced MOG experience. Users will be delighted by the high-quality sound and speed in which their favorite music is delivered,” said David Hyman, founder and chief executive officer of MOG.

“It’s exciting to broaden MOG’s reach and provide users with the ultimate listening experience. We’re pleased to be aligned with a company such as Verizon Wireless.”
