It appears Intel is offering its chip services to more and more no-name tablet manufacturers. This is the case of the MODECOM FreeTab 9000 IPS ICG, a slate with a really uninspiring name, if you ask us.

Nevertheless, the device looks extremely stylish and classy and is made of high-quality materials, perfectly matched in the assembly process to provide an ideal cut diamond vibe.

The FreeTab 9000 comes sporting an IPS Full HD 8.9-inch screen with a stunning resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, which makes for a beautiful display experience.

MODECOM has slipped in an Intel Atom Z2580 processor clocked at 2 x 2GHz and coupled with 2GB of energy efficient RAM, allowing for a smooth communication between internal components, thus making it possible for the device to save up to 70% energy.

In the graphics department, we have an advanced quad-core GPU PowerVR SGX544MP2 (533 MHz) so the latest games (with 3D animation) can be played on the device without encountering major issues.

Customers can store their files via the 16GB of internal storage provided. For those who feel this is not enough, the microSD card jumps to their aid, allowing to be increased up to 32GB.

Another interesting feature embedded in the FreeTab 9000 is the socially smart camera that enables the tablet to perform face recognition and time-shifting functions (never miss an important shot.)

While the slate in itself is not 3G capable, the device can still be paired up with a 3G modem via an OTG microUSB, so users can have Internet access as long as they are in the range of their mobile operator network. The slate runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.

Other functionalities include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n mode and two cameras (5MP on the back and 2MP in front.) MODECOM has slipped in a 6500 mAH battery, so users should have enough of battery juice to get them through most of their activities.
