Live the life of a superstar while sitting in your chair at home

The game that will bring a fresh approach to both MMO games and soccer titles, Football Superstars, has reached the "feature complete" stage of its development and is now ready for beta testing. If everything goes as planned, this game's developers, CyberSports, will fully release the MMO this summer.

Unlike the other few MMOSG (massively multiplayer online sports games) already available on the market, Football Superstars brings some very interesting new features. For example, the player will team up with other real players (the teams can have 3, 5, 7 or 11) and this option really turns the title into a true soccer simulation since it won't be just one's person skills involved in winning or losing a match. Another great implementation is the fact that players will also have an "off-court" life, something that will bring a bit of social gaming experience to the public. You will be able to interact with other players, while pursuing fame, glory and success, striving to join the best clubs, compete at the highest level and progress within the game only through skill. This means that if you want to live a luxurious life like David Beckham's, you can do it, but if you're not good enough, you might end up in the seventh division, poor and unknown to the world.

Of course, one of the most important aspects of the game will be its gameplay and we'll know if it is a hit or a miss after the Beta stage begins, which will happen pretty soon, even though we don't have much detail on the matter.

Malcolm Clark, CEO of CyberSports announced, "I am absolutely delighted to have hit the feature complete milestone. As well as indicating the development is on track for the predicted summer release, now with all the elements of the game active, you can really get a sense of how Football Superstars is shaping up and what it is going to feel like to play. Players can now create their avatar, explore the in-game towns with all that they have to offer and immerse themselves in the football matches playing with up to 19 other players."

Also, as you can see in the screenshot attached to the article, Football Superstars promises to be a very spectacular game, too (Ren? Higuita's save was absolutely delightful and I'm glad our keepers will be able to do that from time to time, in the virtual worlds). But we'll get to see all of it this summer.
