Major League Gaming says that it is planning to introduce a new structure for its weeknight content delivery in order to better serve the community and reach the same standards that networks like ESPN have set for real-world sports.

Chris Puckett, the new vice president of programming at the organization, says that the new content block will include highlights from matches, competition stats, strategy tips, analysis and interviews with pro players.

All of it will be offered via video-on-demand for fans.

Sundance DiGiovanni, the chief executive officer of MLG, is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “Our goal has always been for MLG to become a recognized sport and our online broadcasts and 24/7 programming is the best way to reach a growing and captivated sports-centric audience.”

The company wants to capture even more of the 18 – 24 demographics with competitions that involve Starcraft 2, Black Ops 2 and League of Legends.
