MLB 2K13 Gets David Price as Cover Athlete

2K Games says that David Price, the pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, has been selected as the cover athlete for the upcoming MLB 2K13, which is set to be launched on March 5 on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

Price was awarded the American League Cy Award for the best young player in the competition after posting a 20-5 record and an ERA of 2.56.

Runner-up for the cover athlete position was Justin Verlander, who fronted MLB 2K12.

Price states, “It’s a dream come true to appear on the cover of MLB 2K13. I’m looking forward to working with the 2K Sports team again, and welcoming another skilled gamer into ‘The Perfect Club’.”

The new MLB title is designed with revamped simulation mechanics that will bring it even closer to the real-life sport.
