Microsoft announces that it is planning a showcase event for the Xbox One home console at the upcoming Gamescom event in Germany on August 20, just one day before the floor is open to visitors.

Phil Spencer and Phil Harrison, both vice presidents at the company, will be the hosts of the event that is widely awaited because it will give gamers more information about the game development capabilities of the Xbox One, according to Polygon.

Microsoft is also expected to talk about the games that will be launched for the new console and maybe offer more information on the entertainment services that will be available in Europe.

The company is attending both Gamescom and the Tokyo Games Show this year in order to promote the Xbox One, which is set to arrive in November.
