MINIX has just launched a new firmware for their NEO X7 device, numbered 20130822 (version 004). This update comes with a lot of changes and additions.

According to the release notes, the new firmware will fix the Factory Reset bug as well as the issue with the mouse not being able to “wake up.”

The shutdown issue has been fixed too and the status LED will now blink when the device is in sleep mode.

HDMI and SPDIF passthrough options have been added, as well as support for Logitech's C525 and C920 webcams.

The final line of the changelog states that the screenshot bug has been repaired.

During the installation process, you must not disconnect the power source. Moreover, it is highly recommended you wait for at least five minutes after the setup is complete in order for the system to be fully recovered.

Below is the link to the firmware. Download it and read the instructions packed in the archive. Flash it to your NEO X7 and stay “updated one minute ago.”
