MINIX, a smart media hub and mini-PC manufacturer from Hong Kong, has released an update for its NEO X5 device

Firmware version 010 adds a more convenient method of changing the default launcher by going to the “Android settings” menu, and then the “Display” sub-menu.

An enlarged mouse pointer is now here to help you with an easy navigation on big displays, without you having to search for the tiny cursor on the screen.

Another addition is the reboot to fastboot mode available in the “Debugging” sub-menu in the “Developer options” screen.

The preloaded Tuzi.TV HD 2.0 application is now removable. Also, some unnecessary apps have been uninstalled.

The firmware will also add a newly designed soft power off button with three modes, namely “Sleep,” “Power off,” and “Reboot.”

As far as bug fixes go, version 010 corrects the “No Internet Connection” notification, as well as the Skype compatibility with Logitech C-series web cameras (although the MINIX officials are not certain if it’s their improvement or Skype's).

Below is the link to the firmware accompanied by a full changelog. Download, install and stay “updated one minute ago.”
