MBridge is more than a device, is a veritable multimedia hub. Unicon Systems' product comes with a complete set of features, which makes it stand out from the crowd.
But enough about the praises, let's see what it can do for you.
Let's start with the 'trivial' things. First of all, it's worth mentioning that hardware is powered by the open-source solution Linux, which might explain the relatively low price, of $159.99.
Using this platform,
the Unicon engineers have implemented everything a user could crave for: MP3 player, Wi-Fi connectivity, USB ports, one of which being an OTG (On The Go) and complete software solutions.
Once you locate a hotspot and you connect to it, you are able to surf the Internet with the help of a stylus, send emails and use the incorporated IM client to access services like MSN, AIM and Yahoo.
With the help of a 3.5 inch (approx. 9 centimeters) display, you have the ability to view the photos downloaded from the digital camera and even edit them with the provided application.
In addition, MBridge allows users to purchase music from Napster, Yahoo! Music and other similar services, and to upload photos onto sites, such as MSN Photos.
Unicon's device measures only 3" x 5" x 0.75" inches (3.72 x 12.7 x 1.9 centimeters), but unfortunately it doesn't have a hard disk, the only available format being Secure Digital (SD).

MBridge will be available starting October 2006.
