The hit Trading Card Game and the Marvel Universe come together in the digital world, based on Upper Deck Entertainment's best-selling Vs. System Trading Card Game, Marvel Trading Card Game features, Marvel's complete stable of characters such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Avengers, Ghost Rider, the Fantastic Four, The Hulk and more. Assemble your deck and square off against super heroes and super villains in the game's story mode, or go online in cross platform play to take on other players from around the country.

The DS version was released on May 22, 2007, while the PC version has been pushed back. The retail PC version has an

additional single player mode which is the exact same version that is on the PSP game as well as on the DS game allowing players to play the campaign on their PC which the free PC client currently does not include. There is also a free, online-only client for the PC which is available for download. This client supports online-only play, while the full retail version of the game also supports single player campaigns, tutorials, puzzles etc. The actual cards for the PC free download used for online play are bought with Marvel Points, which are purchased with real money.
