Rapper causes a stir with obscene gesture that goes uncensored

When everybody should be talking about Madonna's incendiary performance halftime in the Super Bowl, they're debating how scandalous M.I.A.'s gesture during the same gig was.

Check out the video above to see what the fuss is all about.

While performing with Madonna on “Give Me All Your Luv,” M.I.A.'s verse included “I don't give a [expletive],” which was barely censored.

To prove that this was really the case, the rapper flipped the bird at the camera. The image became slightly blurry shortly afterwards, in what could have been a late attempt at censoring her gesture.

“Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers,” NBC said in a statement shortly after the incident.

As of now, M.I.A. hasn't yet addressed the controversy – and that it is, a controversy.

Just to get an idea of how much fuss they're making of it, suffice it to mention that they're comparing it to the time Janet Jackson “accidentally” flashed her breast.
