The support driver is here. Functionality is due, yet.

It looks like Vista is trying to change a bit the OS world since many people have had it installed and running, some of them with great performance while some just in time to meet a bitter end to their usual applications. Nevertheless, the masses are well divided between a party which claims that Windows Vista is by far the best operating system known to man (I really doubt this affirmation quite a lot) and the other party which simply smiles in a very disappointed grin when word comes about Vista.

However, actually, either software or hardware manufacturers are beginning to include Vista-support drivers in their download sections, developed by themselves or having some other wise people designing them. So far, Vista has truly provided rather little happiness, as many users have complained about the lousy driver quality for the most common things they used to run on XP.

M-Audio has joined the growing number of tech producers to include support for Windows Vista and since the new stuff has just been released, I guess we'll have to wait for some weeks until people start responding and discussing the stability and functionality of the Vista-ready drivers for M-Audio gear.

In a very unconvincing manner, I'd say, M-Audio have posted on their website a downloadable driver for Vista FastTrack and this is one thing we'll have to keep our eyes on: the user responses.

I don't want to be mean, but what is that supposed to mean? All problems have been solved? No more system hangs? Everything is running perfectly? Shacks! There has been such great music made with M-Audio and XP/Mac OS... why hurry and go Vistafied prematurely as Microsoft themselves aren't 100% sure their new offspring is in perfect running condition?

Note: this isn't an anti-Vista manifest but an appeal for you not to hurry your XP-to-Vista move.
