Visitors to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, US can finally feast their eyes on three lynx kittens that were born at this facility about 4 months ago, on May 8.

The three baby lynx presently share an outdoor habitat with their mother, Magina. However, it appears that it won't be long until they are also introduced to their father, Kajika.

Despite the fact that lynx are solitary creatures and adults don't raise their offspring together when in the wild, Magina and Kajika seem eager to be reunited and allowed to look after their bundles of joy.

Presently, this species is listed as a threatened one. Staff at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and other similar facilities are trying to breed them in captivity in order to up the species' overall headcount.

The three kittens at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo are the first of their kind to have ever been born at this animal sanctuary, sources say.
