Though the judge assigned to her case assured her she would be getting no preferential treatment while in jail, it seems Lindsay Lohan is truly enjoying all the perks of being a star while an inmate at Lynwood. Because of the way prison authorities act whenever contact is made with her, the other inmates are saying they’re sick and tired of her – and they want her out of there,
People magazine writes.
According to the publication, citing a fellow inmate, though Lindsay is in a separate cell, away from gen pop (a measure taken with her safety in mind), and no one can actually see her, every time she comes out or does something, the entire prison goes on lockdown. Clearly, the inmates are not happy: if they’re suffering these drastic measures because she’s there, they might as well see her, the insider seems to be saying for People.
“She’s not treated like if it was anyone else
going to jail. Like, if they even want to bring her new clothes or bring her anything, they put the whole facility on lockdown. It happens all the time. All the inmates are sick of Lindsay. It’s almost like Lindsay Lohan’s here, but she’s not. Like if she even moves, they put the whole facility on lockdown. It happens all the time. For example, just yesterday [Friday], Lindsay had to go to the mini-clinic, and the whole place was on lockdown again,” Maria Medina, a relative of an inmate, reveals for the mag.
Officially, claims of giving Lohan
preferential treatment are rubbish. “Los Angeles Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore denied Medina’s claim. ‘It’s business as usual. Lindsay’s getting no special treatment,’ he told People on Saturday. He also said there is no such thing as ‘lockdowns.’ As far as Lohan is concerned, she’s now apparently in a much better state of mind than earlier this week. ‘[Lindsay’s] doing well, she’s doing fine,’ Lohan's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley tells People. ‘Her outlook is definitely more positive’,” the same media outlet further writes.
Speaking of a more positive outlook, word in the tabloids has it Lindsay has every reason to be so since her attorney is hoping she can get her out even earlier than after two weeks. Holley believes she can convince the judge to agree to that, because of overcrowding and on the promise that she (Lindsay) will go directly to rehab.
