Luxembourg residents are said to have been shocked of an official announcement concerning Prince Louis: he is to become a father at the age of 19!
The teenage royal has decided no to marry his 20-year-old pregnant girlfriend, Tessy Antony.
Both their families agreed they are too young to walk down the aisle.
According to Royal commentator Roger Infalt, quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper, "This is the first time the royal court has behaved in a way that is un-Christian.
In the old days, the palace would have paid hush money to a girl in a case like this or sent her to a doctor in Switzerland...."
Tessy Antony works as an NCO in the Luxembourg army. She is due to give birth in March next year. Her baby with Prince Louis will be the first grandchild for Grand Duke Henri, 50, and his wife, Maria Teresa.
His Highness Prince Louis-Xavier-Marie-Guillaume of Luxembourg is the third son of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, born August 3, 1986. Louis is both a Prince of Luxembourg and a Prince of Nassau.
He has two elder brothers: Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Prince Félix of Luxembourg; and two younger sisters: Princess Alexandra (born February 16, 1991) and Prince Sébastien (born April 16, 1992).
His education includes primary and secondary school in Luxembourg and Beau Soleil boarding school, Villars-sur-Ollon, Switzerland.
