The cast of the latest Star Wars movie under the careful direction of J.J. Abrams is getting bigger by the day. After keeping very tight wraps on the production process for months on end, Abrams is now coming out with announcement after announcement, to the point that fans don't even have the time to take it all in.

On Monday, the studio announced that two more actors would be joining the already significant cast, which includes figures from the original movie, like Harisson Fod, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. This time, Lupita Nyong'o from “12 Years a Slave” is added to the cast, as is Gwendoline Christie, who played Brienne of Tarth in “Game of Thrones.”

“I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII,” said Lucasfilm Pesident Kathleen Kennedy, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape,” she adds.

Although the cast is pretty big as it is, it's being speculated that Abrams is still looking to cast the main female part of the film, which some believed was supposed to go to a mixed race woman in her 20s.

The filming for the latest Star Wars movie began last month in the Abu Dhabi desert, and it will soon be moving to England's Pinewood Studios, before hitting the screen on December 18, 2015.
