Panasonic did not limit itself to just one product announcement, having also delivered a compact camera that can wirelessly link to smartphones or computers and easily transfer photos and video.

The market for video cameras never does go long without new arrivals, what with consumers' liking for fresh products being the same as everywhere else.

The fact that new technologies always come out, or old ones get improved, also means that product makers constantly have some new idea to try.

Panasonic did this twice over the past day or two, having created not just the already detailed Super-Zoom LUMIX FZ150 digital camera, but also the FX90.

The latter is, basically, a small camera which, in addition to having everything it needs to shoot photos and video, can wirelessly connect to other items.

The list of items includes smartphones, computers and more or less anything else that comes with WiFi support, since it is this standard that Panasonic implemented.

"The FX90 is a digital camera packed with high-end imaging features, enabling consumers to take photos and videos that they are proud to share with friends and family, as well as archive to preserve their memories," said Darin Pepple, Senior Product Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company.

"With the FX90's Wi-Fi connectivity capabilities, users can now share these photos instantly on popular social networks via an iPhone or Android OS-based smartphones. Sharing photos online is one of the biggest trends now and Panasonic believes image quality does not have to be comprised. With the FX90's incredible F2.5 lens, photos will be crisp and clear, even when taken indoors with poor lighting. And with its sleek body and extremely fast Auto Focusing, the FX90 is the ideal digital camera to capture all of life's moments – big and small."

The FX90 has 5x optical zoon, a Venus Engine processor, a 3-inch LCD, 1,080p 60i video recording, 12.1 megapixel Hi-Speed CCD sensor and an SD card slot, among other things. The price and release date are unknown.
