Luminous Arc is a strategy RPG from Marvelous for the Nintendo DS. The game features character designs by Shibano Kaito and music by Yasunori Mitsuda and his studio, Procyon. The game resembles other standard tactical role-playing games and features voiced scenes as you advance through the game. The top screen is used to display unit information while movement and attacks are determined on the lower screen. Left-handed touch-screen controls, right-handed touch-screen controls and standard control schemes are available and can be selected in game with the Select button.

One of the special traits in this game is the Flash Drive Gauge, which, when filled, allows the player to use a special attack. Other features of the game include short sequences in between featuring the game's mascot, Kopin and intermission sequences that will allow the player to get to know the characters in their party better. The game also includes an online multiplayer component. Here's how to start the game in New Game+ mode:

When you beat the game watch through the ending/credits and when the word "Fin" pops up hit A and you will be prompted to save. When you save there will now be a star to the right of the file. Reload the file, you will start a new game with all your equipment/characters/levels and if you had any blue hearts for characters they will turn back to red. A bonus area will also be unlocked north of where you start off.
