Following its release on Nokia phones on various markets out there, the Lumia Cyan platform upgrade has been officially confirmed as available for users in Australia and New Zealand.

A few days ago, wireless carrier Vodafone Australia officially announced the availability of Lumia Cyan for the owners of Nokia Lumia 925 handsets on its network, and it seems that more devices in the country are receiving it.

According to a post on TechRadar, Microsoft has confirmed that the update has started to roll out to all Windows Phone 8 Lumia users in Australia and New Zealand this weekend.

The update will arrive on devices with all of the features and enhancements that the Windows Phone 8.1 has to offer, while also offering a series of new features and improvements coming from Nokia itself.

Some of the enhancements that users will receive include better camera capabilities, improved camera roll, the possibility of installing apps on the microSD memory card, and surround sound for video recording (only on Lumia 1520 and Lumia Icon for Verizon).

At the same time, the update comes with Action Center, Internet Explorer 11, Word Flow, Start Screen backgrounds, and Cortana, the virtual personal assistant (though it is officially available only in the US for the time being).
