Lumia 925, the new Windows Phone 8-based handset from Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia, is set to become available for purchase in June with some appealing new applications loaded right from the start.

These include Hipstamatic's new app, Oggl, and the Nokia Smart Camera.

Today, Nokia made official not only the device, but also the software that will be arriving on the market along with it, and also announced that other Lumia handsets should also get a taste of these apps.

In fact, Nokia was pretty specific on the matter, confirming a future update for its Windows Phone 8 devices, called “Lumia Amber,” and destined to deliver some appealing enhancements to users starting with July.

As part of the update, users will get a taste of Nokia Smart Camera, which will provide them with the possibility to take a number of ten images at once, and then edit them courtesy of options like Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus.

The software is said to be built on the GDR2 refresh for Windows Phone 8, and to offer the option to turn on the FM radio feature on Lumia devices as well, while also bringing along a double-tap to wake option.

Furthermore, the new firmware will include the aforementioned Oggl app, which provides users with the option to take and share high-quality pictures while on the go.

The app comes not only with support for the sharing of photos on Oggl, but also enables users to simultaneously share photos on various social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr, and Flickr.

Furthermore, the software comes with support for Instagram, even if an official Windows Phone client for this service has yet to be released.

Lumia 925 was also unveiled with the full suite of Nokia’s HERE apps loaded on top, including HERE Maps, HERE Drive, HERE City Lens, HERE Transit, and the like.
