One of the new smartphones that Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been long rumored to plan for this year was the Lumia 922, which hasn’t been confirmed as of now, but which made a new appearance online.

Martin Cooper, the “father of the cell phone,” mentioned its name in a tweet from February, claiming that he was already using it with Windows Phone 8 on top.

As NokiaInnovation notes, this might be only a typo, especially since Martin Cooper does mention Lumia 920 in a subsequent tweet, though it could also point at the yet unofficial smartphone for Verizon.

One thing that is certain, however, is that Cooper does appreciate Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, as he notes in a Twitter post from this week: “So far, I have a very good experience with Windows 8 on the cell phone.”
