Yesterday, Nokia made its Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 smartphones available for purchase in Hong Kong, and both devices were reportedly sold out in a matter of hours.

According to WeLoveWP.hk, the Lumia 920 stock was depleted in no more than 7 hours, which is quite impressive. Lumia 820 was sold out as well, and Nokia has posted a banner outside one of its stores to inform users on the matter.

Apparently, Nokia is accepting reservations for the smartphones, yet the next shipment might not arrive until next week.

Running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, Nokia’s new Lumia devices have seen impressive demand since launch.

In fact, the demand for the flagship Lumia 920 has been so great this month that it managed to near the total sales of Lumia handsets in the third quarter of the year.
