Owners of a Nokia Lumia 820 smartphone in Russia can once again take advantage of the 4G LTE connectivity capabilities that the device had before Portico was released to it, new reports claim.

Courtesy of a new firmware currently rolling out to the smartphone, the 4G connectivity on this device has been re-enabled.

A recent post on WP7forum.ru also explains that the firmware arrives on devices as build 1232.5957.1308.0001, but that the OS on the smartphone hasn’t been updated (still build number 8.0.10211.204).

Apparently, the new firmware will be pushed to all Nokia Lumia 620, Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 devices, while Lumia 520 and Lumia 720 handsets will arrive on shelves with it preinstalled, as WMPoweruser notes.

The new firmware also brings along Nokia’s Check Storage utility, so that users could manage temporary files on their handsets.
