One of the smartphones that Microsoft might release before the end of this year has been long rumored to sport the codename of Superman, and is now expected to become available as Lumia 730.

The handset emerged online several times before, and also made it in a leaked photo a few days ago, which confirmed that a Green variant would be launched.

Today, however, we can see the phone in an Orange flavor as well, courtesy of an image that has emerged online on Baidu.

One of the main selling points of this mobile phone is said to be its 5-megapixel front camera, which will provide users with a great experience when taking selfies or making video calls while on the go.

Running under the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 operating system out of the box, Lumia 730 will be released as a mid-range device in the end, though it will still include a nice set of hardware capabilities, it seems.

Apparently, it will sport a 4.7-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering either an FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) or a 720p resolution, and will also feature a polycarbonate unibody design, the same as other Lumia devices before it.

According to a recent post on nokiapoweruser, the phone will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory (a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 128GB of additional storage will also be available).

The report also claims that this phone will feature an 8-megapixel rear camera with Zeiss optics, though WPcentral claims that it will actually sport a 6.1MP sensor on the back. They also suggest that the quad-core processor will be clocked at 1.6GHz or higher.

Other capabilities on the yet unannounced handset include dual-SIM support, a 2000mAh battery, and the entire set of usual connectivity capabilities (4G LTE could be present on the phone too, so as to better differentiate it from Lumia 630).

The newly leaked image also reveals that the device will not have a dedicated camera button, while the previously spotted one suggested that it would include only on-screen software buttons on the front.

Rumor has it that the Lumia 730 will sport a price tag of around €259/$347 when launched, and that it will go official in the coming weeks, as it is currently expected to be released on Verizon Wireless’ network before the end of this month.

However, no official confirmation on any of the above has been provided as of now, and it remains to be seen whether the aforementioned hardware specifications will pan out in the end or not. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
