Designer creates awesome interpretation of new Lumia

Microsoft is already working to expand the Lumia series of phones, and a couple of new models have already hit the market in the last few months, but flagships are still missing from Redmond’s lineup, which could make some people wonder whether it’s still worth staying on Windows Phone or they should rather switch to iOS and Android.

Leaving this long debate aside, it’s a well-known fact that, while Microsoft needs quite a lot of time to bring new Windows Phone models to the market, designers across the world roll out plenty of concepts imagining how a number of new devices could look and trying envision the ideas that the company itself could adopt for future phones.

This is the case of the Lumia 1530, a concept created by DeviantArt user Sujau, which not only that looks impressively good but also comes with a few ideas that could really be implemented by Microsoft in the successor to Lumia 1520.

Based on the Lumia 1520

As you can see for yourselves, this concept is based on the Lumia 1520 phablet, which comes with a 6-inch screen, a gigantic battery, and 2 GB of RAM.

At the same time, it improves the original design with a smaller bezel that obviously makes the display even bigger, a fingerprint reader, plus support for a stylus, which, according to WMPU, is hidden at the bottom of the device.

There are no technical specifications available at this point, and there’s no need for any since it’s just a concept, but there’s no doubt that a 6-inch screen would really come in very handy for a phablet like this.

Obviously, at least 2 GB of RAM would be necessary, whereas the amount of space couldn’t be below 32 GB, of course, with microSD card support also available.

Needless to say, such a device would come with Windows Phone 10, which is still in the works at the time of writing this article but could launch in the fall of 2015.

Windows Phone is very likely to come with a plethora of improvements for Microsoft users, including a complete visual overhaul that would bring a new home screen, as well as interactive live tiles to perform certain tasks much faster.
