Earlier today, wireless carrier AT&T kicked off the pre-order period for the new Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone, and retailer Best Buy appears to have followed suit.

The new Windows Phone 8 device can now be seen listed on this page on the company’s website, with the same price tag of $299.99 (€229) attached to it on a two-year contract agreement.

The smartphone will become available for purchase at Best Buy on July 26, and will cost $749.99 (€573) if purchased SIM-free, as WMPoweruser notes.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the new Lumia 1020 was made official with a 41-megapixel photo snapper on the back, the first of the kind in the mobile OS’s history.

The handset packs the same specs and capabilities as the Nokia Lumia 920, but sports 2GB of RAM inside, and a newer flavor of Microsoft’s mobile OS.
