Jake Davis, Ryan Ackroyd, Ryan Cleary, and a 17-year-old appeared in front of a judge yesterday, as part of the case against the hackers who formed the infamous LulzSec gang.

Forbes informs that this was the first time when the four appeared side by side in front of a judge.

20-year-old Davis, known on the hacking scene as Topiary, and Ackroyd, aka Kayla, were also charged in the United States. If extradited, they face charges in relation to accessing the systems of Fox Broadcasting Company, Sony Pictures and the Public Broadcasting Service.

It’s well known that US authorities don’t take kindly to hackers, and for each of their crimes they could face a 10 year jail sentence.

In this court appearance, Cleary, who is the only one still in custody, was accused of providing the group a botnet which they used to attack the site of DreamHost. He is also believed to be responsible for breaching Pentagon and US Air Force systems.
