The government probably still needs his assistance

Hector “Sabu” Monsegur’s sentencing has been delayed once again. Cryptome has learned that the sentencing has been re-scheduled for April 2, 2014.

However, it will probably surprise no one if the sentencing will not take place in April. This is the fifth time the decision has been postponed, most likely because US authorities still need his “expertise.”

In August, another LulzSec hacker, Jeremy Hammond, who has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in LulzSec’s operation, revealed that the government had used Sabu to “facilitate the hacking” of foreign governments.

Considering that he’s involved in such high-profile operations, it’s no wonder that the government still needs him.

In the meantime, recently surfaced documents show that in addition to Monsegur, the FBI had two other moles within LulzSec.
