If you've seen the six movies, then you'll just love the Star Wars theme, sounds and new emoticons that Yahoo has launched for its Web client. It includes thirty customized emoticons of some of your favorite Star Wars characters including Yoda, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Han Solo,
Jabba the Hut and many more that you'll just have to check out for yourselves. As per usual, a couple of surprize emoticons have been hidden by the development team just to spice it up a little.

Sarah Bacon, Project Manager, says that "this version also breaks ground with a new breed of emoticons - super combo emoticons. When you enter two Star Wars emoticons next to each other in a message, there's a 'galactic' interaction between them. Try typing '(vader)(obiwan)' in a message to try it out. You'll have to figure out the other nine combos on your own." She says that and afterwards she signs the blog post as "Princess Leia". If there's a "who would you like to be" contest going on, I'd most likely go for the all time-not favorite of Dandelion Warrior. I mean who wouldn't want to shoot quills from their heads?

It looks like these emoticons also work with the SMS sending feature that Yahoo! provides with its IM service. I know I'll be sending Jabba the Hut like crazy if I ever get my hands on these before I die of anxiousness. Nothing else, just the slime ball, I think that should freak people out. Perhaps I'll be doing it from an undisclosed number… oh, the thrill of waiting…

To go along with this, you could also visit the Star Wars gallery on Yahoo Avatars that was rolled out a little over a month ago, in order to dress up in your favorite gear from a galaxy far, far away.
